“Where Osama Is At”

So I don’t really update this blog anymore, but I thought this was worth sharing.

In the fall of 2008, Gary Tyler Mcleod and myself were spending a quite evening in a local bar in downtown Salt Lake City. A man began telling us his insane story about how he met Osama bin Laden in a biker bar in Santa Cruz back in 1986. We recorded his story on a phone and transcribed it for a zine we made, which you can click on below to see a full-sized version.

Almost 3 years later, we finally found out where Osama has been “hiding.” Turns out this old drunk wasn’t too far off; armed guards, crazy compounds, governmental protection, and marijuana plants are all key factors. Osama might have been found in Pakistan, but who’s to say he wasn’t kicking it in Santa Cruz at some point, smoking weed and bar hoping. At this point, I wouldn’t doubt it.
